Alpha-1 Inspection Services endeavors to perform all inspections in substantial compliance with the Standards of Practice of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI). and the International Association of Certified Indoor Air Consultants.  We inspect the readily accessible, visually observable, installed systems and components of a home as designated in the InterNACHI Standards of Practice and the IAC2 Standards of Practice.

Your report contains observations of those systems and components that, in the professional judgment of the inspector, are not functioning properly, significantly deficient, unsafe, or are near the end of their service lives. If the cause for the deficiency is not readily apparent, the suspected cause or reason why the system or component is at or near the end of expected service life is reported, and recommendations for correction or monitoring are made as appropriate.

Mycotoxin Testing

Mycotoxins are airborne poisons that are produced by mold/ fungus. For years, the government's concern has been to keep these deadly fungi/mold out of the general public's food supply. However, a new source of mycotoxins has arisen. Water-damaged indoor environments have been documented to produce the same diseases, leading to serious health effects.

What does indoor air quality certification mean?

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) refers to the air quality within and around buildings and structures, especially concerning the health and comfort of building occupants.

So, what is involved in an indoor air quality test?

Indoor air quality tests measure the air for allergens, mold, and radon, among others. These tests can show whether indoor air quality is safe or dangerous. A good test will measure and tell you accurately what is in the air inside your home or office.

Are air quality tests worth it?

Whether for air quality maintenance or an active effort to improve current standings, an air quality test lets you know what your pollutants are and how to eliminate them. For your family's respiratory safety, air quality tests are a must.
